Aloha Minneapolis Grapplers, my name is Coach Keir.
I’m a uniquely decorated, submission grappling scholar, earning each of my ranks from a different Head Coach, from a different part of the country.
My Jiu Jitsu lineage is:
- White – Cris Johnson, Head Coach & Owner of Apex Jiu Jitsu (Pedro Sauer Black Belt – 2nd°)
- Blue – Nate Kleinfeld, Head Coach & Owner of Next Level Combat (10th Planet Black Belt – 2nd°)
- Purple – Anthony Birchak, Head Coach & Owner of 10th Planet Tucson (10th Planet Black Belt – 2nd°)
- Brown – Matt Salinas, Head Coach & Owner of 10th Planet Mission Viejo (10th Planet Black Belt – 2nd°)
As a coach, my approach & style are rooted in the scientific method, with an emphasis on making learning exciting.
I believe in building a strong foundation of fundamentals, and challenging my students to be creatively expressive.
I cultivate a motivating environment where you have agency to be skeptical and are supported to unlock your fullest potential.
My goal as a coach is to produce creative problem solvers, and jiu jitsu is my tool of choice for activating that unique spark in each of us.
The endorphin explosion earned from submitting a larger, skilled opponent is an experience unlike anything you have ever felt; pure, genuine confidence.
It’s an accolade deserved, and achievable, by everyone. If a child sized man like me can do it, so can you.
